Why Chainsaw Training is Essential:
A Gardening Company’ s Story
When it comes to chainsaws, safety comes first. Without the right training, the risks are high— for both workers and the companies they work for.
Recently, a gardening business contacted us. Their new hires needed chainsaw training to work safely and productively. They joined our July Chainsaw Training Course, spending the day with our experienced instructor, Luke.
A Practical Day of Learning
The team of four learned how to handle and maintain a chainsaw, safe and efficient crosscutting techniques and how to assess risks and follow safety rules.
Luke kept the session hands-on and interactive, making sure everyone left confident. One participant said:“ The trainer was brilliant— clear, engaging, and easy to follow. I feel much more confident using a chainsaw now.”
Why It Matters for Businesses At the end of the day, each trainee received a Health & Safety Certificate— giving their employer peace of mind. In gardening, landscaping, forestry, and construction, trained staff help reduce accidents, protect the business, and prove commitment to safety.
As the company’ s manager put it:” Knowing my team is trained and certified is a huge relief. It was a great investment— we’ ll be sending more staff in the future.”
