It was the first combined fully padded harness and belt system more familiar to hiking and camping backpacks , so revolutionary , even today , it was found in clinical testing to reduce stress on the back & joints by over 70 % compared to typical harness designs . Indeed , all Vermorel sprayers are extensively quality- tested during production with one in eight , fresh off the production line , filled with water and used for working tests including holding high BAR pressures for a timed period .
