Golfclub Hamburg Walddörfer e . V is a challenging golf course within a spectacular parkland landscape .
Since our foundation in 1960 , golf has been played on one of the most beautiful and unusual courses in Hamburg . Designed by Bernhard von Limburg and then renovated by Christoph Städler in 2016 , our course offers a fascinating golfing experience through a mature woodland landscape .
How did you come by finding out about GripClad ?
We first heard about Gripclad through the British and International greenkeeper ’ s association magazine , and it immediately piqued our interest , as we had been looking for a long-term solution for our safety problems with regards to slipping .
What were the past issues you had with slippery steps etc ?
Our course is based in a very mature wooded area , and we have problems with shade and moisture almost permanently throughout the year . Our steps were causing us enormous problems due to the slippery surfaces . We had tried other products before but without much longlasting success .
How did Gripclad solve your problem ? Gripclad has completely solved our problem with slippery steps , our members have commented on how much safer they are feeling going up and down
the steps to our tees .
Even after 3 years our Gripclad is performing very well .
How easy it was to install this product ? The product was very easy to install , the boards cut well and when cut we fitted them onto the steps with glue and screws to make sure they were well fixed in place .
The service you received from us and anything else . The service has been very good , Barry has constantly kept in touch to see how the product is performing and to keep us updated on other products that may be of interest to us in the future . We have no problem recommending Gripclad to anyone looking to solve long term safety issues due to slipping .
