The Spirit of Generosity Reigns
Two fair weather Saturdays in the heart of April brought close to 160 community volunteers to the
DABG for the annual Spring Clean Up events. Benevolent workers of all ages rolled up their sleeves
to rake, clean and clear the park beds, grounds and buildings to make way for the 2016 growing season.
Employers and employees, teachers and students, parents and children, neighbors and friends from the
community, teamed up to offer their services. Some contributed home-baked goodies and delicious
food. Others with warm smiles served a light
luncheon to hungry helpers.
We were extremely fortunate that our second
clean-up day coincided with the Days of Caring
event. This brought a lot of new community
members out to help spruce up the DABG.
Mission Statement:
To establish, preserve and
maintain an arboretum and botanical garden to be a source
of information,
education, culture and beauty
for all to know.
The DABG celebrates the spirit of generosity that
has made our clean up tradition a success. We are
most grateful for the cherished gifts of time and
talent shared. Whatever it is you have done…your
labors make a difference. Make way for the 2016
growing season!
No admission fee.
Guided tours are available
on request. Carts are also
