Many of you brought your leaves here to the DABG . These are ground up and will be used in the spring on our annual and perennial beds . We also used the leaves to put the roses and Formal English Garden to bed for the winter . Thank you !

BEYOND THE GARDEN GATE

From The Director …
Did you see the gingko trees this fall ? They were bright yellow and seemed to retain their leaves longer than usual . As everyone knows who grew up in the Midwest , winter is coming , but we have enjoyed the November reprieve of spring-like weather .
Another growing season is under our belt . It couldn ’ t have gone better with the rain and the sunshine to help us “ make our gardens grow .” The fact that the DABG is maintained by ALL VOLUNTEERS never ceases to amaze me .
Cheers to all who pruned , planted , greeted , planned , supported , constructed , repaired , mowed , retailed , raked , reported , envisioned – and MORE !
