What’s cooking? Butter Bean Curry INGREDIENTS 1 ½ Onions 2 Tomatoes 1 Green pepper 750g Dry butter beans 30ml Mild Spicy curry powder 2 cups Water 1 ox Beef stock cube 1 cube Seasons garlic Serve with rice or sadza 62 METHOD 1. Sort the butter beans and soak in water overnight. 2. Boil in clean water for 1 hour and drain in a pot.(pre-cook) 3. Brown the onion in oil. 4. Add the curry powder and simmer for 2 minutes. 5. Add remaining ingredients and the beans turn down the heat and simmer for 30 minutes. 6. Add seasons cube 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time.
