At home, Kathy’ s role is just as important. She helps with the administration, but her great passion is horses and endurance riding. It is also here that the farm’ s wellknown yard ostrich becomes part of the story. The tame bird apparently thinks she is one of Kathy’ s horses and often walks along with the team, eats from the same bucket, and generally helps the horses get used to the unexpected.
