PROJECT EXECUTIVE COMMENTS
Greg & Co worked closely with the heritage consultant
in order to understand the elements of the building
that were protected by the listing and would need to be
preserved as part of the building works. This involved
going into the local archives and looking into the history
of the property.
We took a creative approach to incorporating the listed
features into the project to reach an optimal layout and
design which met the client’s brief and was capable of
securing planning and listed building consent.
The work itself was at times complex as the size and
other physical limitations set out above meant that each
stage of the works had to be delivered precisely, in order
to ensure that the design could be delivered and that
the works all complied with building regulations and
the listed building consent. Greg & Co worked closely
with the client to recommend and agree all materials,
fittings and fixtures, and present ideas for functional
yet beautiful storage and lighting solutions, all of which
were bespoke.
For us, this was a very satisfying project. A good
relationship was formed with the client early in the
scheme and maintained throughout delivery. We took
pride and satisfaction in designing and delivering the
space that the client envisaged from concept to turn-key.
