The compact two-seater is designed to meet the growing demand for smaller, more ef?cient cars. Inspired by Yamaha’s experience in building motorbikes, the new car is intended to become the next 6 GreenWeek Nov 22, 2013 generation of personal mobility. Yamaha Motor Company chose Gordon Murray Design to cooperate in the design and development of the Motiv.e , using the ?rm’s revolutionary iStream manufacturing technology. Both with Formula One backgrounds, the pair made use of composite technology developed for motorsport to deliver a lightweight, safe EV.
