There are a LOT of animals , including a group of lemurs that happily enjoy a treat of lollipops .
“ Between the livestock and the exotic animals , I guess it is about 100 ,” Martin said .
Operating Home For Angels has been a struggle the past few years , as with so many other businesses , it had to deal with the pandemic , inflation and all that comes with today ’ s economy , she notes . But she intends to keep on , reaching out to whatever benefactors , businesses and personal donations that are available to help keep the doors open and the lights on .
Tours of the facility are available at $ 75 for two people , plus a $ 20 donation for each additional person , with the admission including food to feed the exotic animals .
Martin says the experience of watching a child react to spending one-on-one time with the animals is the reason she continues operating Home For Angels . “ It is a rescue for people , too ,” she said .
