For Greenville singer , artist and composer Brandon Callies , his career actually can be traced back to Leonardo , Raphael , Donatello and Michelangelo .
“ It really started with me drawing Ninja Turtles as early as I can remember ,” Callies said . “ Music was second .”
Callies , 39 , has been interested in pursuing a path in differing art forms for decades .
“ I started really wanting to be in a band and play music after seeing a music video from the Smashing Pumpkins on MTV when I was about 12 years old ,” he said . “ Around that time is when I asked for my first guitar , and I was off to the races .”
Brandon Callies has performed at the Texan Theater in Greenville in addition to venues all over Texas and the United States .
