A new major addition to Ellis Farm that has cars slowing down on Traders Road, is a new twostory, 7,100-square-foot home that Ellis is building for his wife Jamie and sons Greyson and Grant. The completion date for that home is August. With all the projects Ellis has underway it is hard to find him at his office at Ellis Plaza on Wesley Street in the office building that he built next to Bank of America. The Stonewood Estates project is already underway and is a 70-acre tract with 296 lots with zoning already approved for larger SF2 and SF3 lots. Retail and a greenspace park area are also part of that project. Water and sewer infrastructure are currently being installed in Stonewood Estates Phase 1 on Center Point Lane with concrete streets expected to be poured in July. Phase 2 will follow with a new entrance on Traders Road and a detention pond with a water feature. A retail building is in the future for Stonewood Estates and zoning has already been approved on Traders Road Working with new home buyers and pre-selling new homes in Stonewood Estates is already underway. Also on the drawing board for Ellis is Cambridge Place, a 36-unit duplex complex on Traders Road. Looking farther down the road to the future, Ellis Estates, an 83-acre tract, is now being platted with 220 lots, as Dent Road between Traders Road and SH 1570 maybe upgraded to a four-lane concrete road in the next three to five years. On the radio airwaves in Greenville, Ellis’s voice has become a familiar voice to listeners of the E Radio Network and 93.5 The Coyote and 105.9 8 Greenville Life SPRING 2020
