Wolfe City High School Valedictorian 2022 Shelby Stickley
Shelby Stickley has been named the Valedictorian of Wolfe City High School Class of 2022 .
Shelby was born Feb . 12 , 2004 , to her loving parents Matthew and Melody Stickley . Fast forward to 18 years later , she will be graduating as the top of her class . She plans to attend Texas Tech University ’ s Honors College in the Fall 2022 semester . WRECK EM ! She plans to major in psychology and business on the pre-med track to start her on her dream of becoming an OB-GYN .
In her four years at Wolfe City High School , Shelby has been a member of many clubs , including Student Council , Beta Club , the Leadership Committee , and FCA / FCS . She has held many leadership positions including secretary for Student Council and Beta Club as well as vice president of Beta Club during her senior year .
Shelby has also participated in varsity powerlifting and track since her freshman year and has been a regional qualifier in both , as well as holding school records and awards . As a senior , Shelby was a member of Wolfe City ’ s first cross-country team and became a leader for the underclassman .
She believes that the leadership positions she has obtained from these clubs and experiences have made her a better person and will continue to influence her future endeavors . She cannot wait to begin her new journey in Lubbock and to keep her GUNS UP !
Wolfe City High School Salutatorian 2022 Sydney Cox
Sydney Cox has been named the Salutatorian of Wolfe City High School ’ s Class of 2022 .
She is the daughter of Robby and Amy Cox and has been a student at Wolfe City since pre-k . Her love for service and leadership began early in her life . She has participated in Student Council since elementary school . She continued to be very involved throughout her high school career . She served as the President of Student Council , Beta Club Vice-President of Programs and Projects , was on the Leadership Committee , and participated in FCA and FFA .
Some of her accomplishments include : 1st place in Marketing and Communications at Texas State Beta Convention , 1st place in Ag Sales at the FFA Area 5 Competition , and a UIL Academic Regional Qualifier . Sydney participated in varsity volleyball , golf , and cheer all four years of high school . She also had the privilege of being the varsity cheer captain . She earned various all-district awards and was a part of the 2021-2022 cheer team which placed 5th at the UIL Spirit State Competition .
She also was an active member of the youth group at Wolfe City First Baptist Church .
Sydney has been accepted into the Mays Business Honors Program at Texas A & M University . She plans to pursue a degree in finance and then obtain her MBA . Gig ‘ Em !!!
