Quinlan Ford High School Valedictorian 2022 - Madison Grace Clayton
Quinlan Independent School District and W . H . Ford High School present Madison Grace Clayton as our 2022 valedictorian . Her parents are Adam and Christy Briggs ; her five siblings are Marshall , Owen , Presley , Maverick , and Jaxon .
Since attending QISD starting in the seventh grade , she was the varsity softball captain , the Panther Softball MVP , and was named academic all-district all four years of high school . Other organizations Madison served in include National Honor Society , student council , senior committee , theater production , and theater tech during high school . She is also a member of the National Society of High School Scholars .
Madison is a part of the QISD / PJC dual credit program , and while in high school , she earned an associate degree from Paris Junior College at no cost to her family as all tuition and materials were paid by Quinlan ISD . In addition , her high academic grades at the college level earned the distinguished honor of being inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society .
“ Quinlan is special to me . It is a small-knit community where we support each other . I have made some of the most memorable relationships in this small town . A quote from James Cameron stands out to me . He said , ‘ If you set your goals ridiculously high , and it ’ s a failure , you will fail above everyone else ’ s success .’”
Madison plans to attend Howard Payne University where she has earned an academic scholarship and will play softballl . In addition , she will participate in HPU ’ s Honors Academy and major in psychology .
Quinlan Ford High School Salutatorian 2022 - Tori Makayla Scott
Quinlan Independent School District and W . H . Ford High School are proud to announce Tori Makayla Scott as our 2022 Ford High School salutatorian . Her parents are Roger Scott and Nicole Shearin ; her three siblings are Tanner , Taylor , and Jordan Scott .
Tori is a lifelong Quinlan ISD student attending 13 years as a Quinlan Panther . At Ford High School , she is a member of the international award-winning Blue Belle Drill Team , where she served as captain for the past two years . In addition , Tori earned multiple dance awards , including one third-place solo , two first-division solos , and the “ Supreme ” award for a dance she choreographed .
She is a member of the FHS Student Leadership Team and student council , serving as class treasurer . Academically , Tori Scott took full advantage of the QISD / PJC dual credit program in high school and earned an associate degree from Paris Junior College with all costs covered by Quinlan ISD .
“ Going to school in Quinlan is one of the best decisions . My teachers all genuinely care , and they have made school most special . I try to incorporate two quotes into my life : “ Failure is not the opposite of success ; it is part of success ,” and “ Vision is a picture of the future that produces passion .”
Tori plans to attend Sam Houston State University and major in psychology with a minor in biology and chemistry . Her ultimate goal is to become a pediatric psychiatrist .
