SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
This award honors a business with 10 or less employees that demonstrates steady growth , solid leadership and a strong commitment to the success of the Greenville area . This business shows innovation in strategic planning , employee development , and customer service and is actively involved in the betterment of the community .
Camellia Collision Center was founded in August 2018 by Greenville native , Jason Reaves . Jason came from very humble beginnings – he was raised by his grandmother , Leila Camellia Ammons Mosely . His grandmother didn ’ t have much , but she had one thing that money can ’ t buy – the drive and determination to get things done .
That is a trait that Jason learned early in life . He developed a love for automobiles in his early teenage years and attended Reid State Technical College to pursue a career in the collision industry as soon as he graduated Greenville High School . He landed his first job in a paint and body shop in Evergreen in 1998 and continued his career working and managing several other collision center throughout Alabama and Florida . As he continued to work to perfect his skill , his dream was always to come back to his hometown of Greenville to own and operate his own collision center .
Along his journey Jason met many people who quickly met others in the industry that not only became friends , but great mentors to him . One of those people was Romeo Breau , III . At the time , Romeo owned and operated Romeo 3 ’ s Collission Center in Greenville , but was looking to relocate his family and business to Baldwin County – and a wonderful opportunity opened the doors to form a partnership between the two .
Camellia Collision proudly supports local organizations and projects such as : Greenville High
School Softball and Baseball Teams , the Butler County Sheriff ’ s Posse , 3 Arts Club , Greenville / Butler County Animal Shelter , Butler County Relay for Life , Healthy Kids / First Steps Program . They and are active members of the Greenville Lions Club and the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce . In additional to local support and sponsorships , Camellia Collision incorporates a $ 500 Christmas Cash Giveaway each December to one lucky customer .
Jason and Janet are fiercely dedicated to their community and their family – everyone at Camellia Collision Center is family , either by blood , marriage , or friendship . They believe there ’ s no better place than Greenville to invest their time , talents and money .
