On behalf of the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce , I would like to welcome you to our town . Whether you ’ re visiting for the day , looking for a new place to call home , or you ’ re already a resident , Greenville , also known as the Camellia City , is a unique city with a big heart and plenty of opportunities .
Centrally located on Interstate 65 , Greenville is rich in history and enjoyed by all who have experienced its charm , warmth , and friendliness . Our close proximity to Birmingham , Mobile and the beautiful shores of the Gulf Coast offer the opportunity to enjoy the amenities of the big city and the beach without sacrificing the everyday pleasures of small town life . Greenville is known for having camellia lined streets , cutting edge arts and entertainment , beautiful historic homes and churches , a world-class golf course , a picturesque campground nestled near a 10-acre lake and walking trails , abundant shopping and dining , and a thriving historic
downtown district , all of which truly make Greenville a great place to live , work , play , raise a family , and do business . We are one of the safest communities in the nation with quality schools and health care providers , and city government that is efficient , effective , and fiscally sound .
The Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce is a 350 member-driven organization whose mission is to promote and facilitate the growth of the business community for our members . Established in 1941 , the Chamber serves as the voice of business and involves the public sector in community leadership .
