sharks, this time in the open ocean. We
visited a private island, the setting for
the filming of Couples Retreat, where
we enjoyed an al fresco lunch seated in
the water with fish nibbling at our feet.
It’s possible we giggled at the sensation
more than we ate. We spent one day at
the resort’s spa, where treatment tables
are set on a glass floor so you can see
fish swimming below. Most evenings
we spent watching the stars, chatting
about our lives atnd our future. Bora
Bora proved to be a beautiful place to
disconnect from our crazy lives and to
reconnect with each other.
Diary, Day 12:
Our daily lives are so
consumed with the hustle
and bustle of life that
sometimes we forget to take a
moment to recharge and find
balance. This trip gave us time
to talk, to reflect on how we
must wake up each morning
with a grateful heart. Most
importantly, it opened our
eyes to the grandeur of our
beautiful planet earth.
W
e spent just one night in Tahiti, a necessary stopover
for any trip to these islands.
Tahiti certainly isn’t as spectacular as
the other two islands, since as the capital city it is more densely populated
and the rampant poverty here is more
evident than in the tranquil outer islands. Even so, our one evening there
was beautiful, the perfect end to a truly
spectacular honeymoon.
