In other good news , it is with much excitement that we announce the opening of a second office on Main Street in Ellicott City around July 1st . We are looking forward to working in Howard County .
When we met with our consultants at Yellowfin Marketing to plan this issue of GreenBook , we all agreed that we wanted to highlight the theme of “ Summer on the Chesapeake ”. In the end , we came up with more content than we could print ! We don ’ t want to say we have a favorite , but be sure to check out our column on Chesapeake Do ’ s and Don ’ ts , which we put together with help from Chesapeake Bay Foundation . We know summer is a busy time , but we hope you consider our suggestions as you look for ways you can help the Bay in your everyday life .
Jay Fleming is a resident professional photographer whose work has appeared in local and national magazines . Jay grew up on the Bay . His photos and videos highlight not only the natural beauty of the environment , but also the small but not inconsequential moments of people who live and work on the water . Cathy Purple Cherry is a prominent businesswoman and artist . While you may have seen her work around town , you may not know about Cathy herself . Contributing writer Diana Love spent some time with Cherry , who she described as a woman with smarts , feeling and conviction . Cathy ’ s business has grown from a 1-woman operation to a multi million dollar company . We hope you enjoy learning more about her .
