In April we proudly celebrated the grand opening of our
new offices on Annapolis Street in West Annapolis. After
weeks of hard work, we opened our doors on Saturday,
April 11th for a ceremonial ribbon cutting and Open
House celebration. City of Annapolis Mayor Michael
Pantelides and my brother, Florida State Senator Rene
Garcia, graciously attended the event. More than one
hundred people came out to see the new space and to
meet the best real estate agents in Annapolis!

When Jennie and I began to conceptualize what our new
office would look like, we imagined a calm and inviting
space that was also efficient and organized, with plenty
of comfortable workspace for our agents and support
staff. We wanted to create an open floor plan that could accommodate special functions,
but we wanted areas for private meetings. We also wanted to create a place where
local charity and community groups could easily host meetings or small events.

that can be connected to mobile devices, computers and laptops for visual and audio
presentations. It is also handy for tele-meetings via applications like Face Time or
Skype. We have couches and small tables for our guests, extra desk space for visitors
and even The J. Melvin Moving Truck, a large commercial vehicle that we will make
available FREE OF CHARGE to local non-profit groups.
One hundred twenty-five years ago, George T Melvin, Jennie’s great-grandfather,
was contracted to develop the farms and homesteads of Norwood Beale, the area now
known as West Annapolis.
The many accolades George T. Melvin attributed to the area remain today. Beautiful
homes, tree-lined avenues and shady streets, proximity to specialty stores, coffee
shops and restaurants, access to the beautiful Severn River and the support of a
strong, vibrant community all characterize West Annapolis. In fact, we hung a
portrait of George T in our office, not only as a nod Jennie’s family ties, but especially
as a reminder of our responsibility to contribute to, and support the b
