The majority of Cuba fishermen working on private boats do not have access to motors. They fish using oars or a sail for propulsion. Oxen are used in farming when mechanical equipment is unavailable. Some organic farm- ers prefer to use traditional methods of farm- ing. Oxen are a common sight in fields, on streets and even pulling carts full of passen- gers or produce down major highways.
