Holiday dinners at my home
include family and always a few
friends that can’t make it home
for the holidays; at my table there
is always an extra chair and plate
for an unexpected guest. We start
with a glass of bubbly and crab, a
San Francisco tradition (my home
town). Our meal includes of
vegan dishes, some fish and it is
the one time of year I cook meat
for the meat eaters in my life.
One of my favorite side dishes
to make is potatoes au gratin….
seriously! It is the only time
of year I truly indulge. I make
it every year and sadly (or not)
we never have any leftovers. It is
basically potatoes, butter, cream,
Gruyere cheese more butter and
cream and my secret ingredient…
a hint of cinnamon! My favorite
thing to wear is my new Chai,
long sleeve, floor length wrap dress.
Lucky me, I have been wearing
the fit samples and have had so
many compliments on it. It’s so
comfortable and sexy… think
