EDITOR’S letter
A new season is here. And after that delicious
summer, it’s time to get your warm woolly
winter clothes ready and get cosy.
I don’t know about you but I LOVE the winter
season. There is just something magic about
it; fall foliage, winter snow, warm sweaters,
cosy cardigans, that thick coat, the fireplace,
that December holiday season. There’s a lot of
goodness packed in the cold season.

Where the summer is a time for us to go out
and about explore and socialize outdoors, I
feel that the winter is a season where we all
come together to be cosy and comfy. The cold
outdoors bring us closer together indoors.
When it comes to keeping warm, there are
some wonderful styles for you to enjoy this
season. New on greenthisseason.com is the
romantic collection of Finnish designer Sanna
Hopiavuori, or as she says: a collection where
Romance meets Rock. Feminine shapes and
styles dominated by the colour black. Easy
and timeless designs finished with (up-cycled)
leather details.
Black seems to be dominating this season and
we love it. You often hear people say that they
always wear black and they want to change.
Ask them why and they’ll say because they
need to wear more colour. Don’t get me wrong;
I’m exactly the same. 9 Out of 10 times I’ll be
walking around in my favourite black clothes.

And for the longest time I’ve been saying too;
“I will wear more colour”. But then I started
wondering, why? Why would I change that,
if wearing black makes me feel comfy, happy
and makes me looks good? Plus, and I am
sure you’re with me on this one, there is no
other colour that will do your accessories more
justice than black.
When we met Aleks Kurkowski in Berlin this
summer I asked her why her collection was all
black. She had the best answer; because I love
black! Check out her collection. Personally I
would want to have each and every single piece.
The materials she uses are perfect and fabulous.
Pay extra attention to the leather leggings, they
are beyond amazing!
Timeless, stylish and made to perfection
are also the styles of Katharina Kaiser. I
met Katharina this summer at the Green
Showroom in Berlin. I would place her styles
and collection in a class of its own. The styles,
