Born and raised in Weimar,
Germany
Fascinated by the fashionworld,
the construction of clothes and the
texture of fabrics Christiane decides
to study fashion and collected experiences in the high fashion world
Already at the beginning of her
studies and during the time of her
fashion education Christiane had
the goal to work with fair and ecological correct materials
In 2011 she founded the company Milde, based in Berlin Weißensee, where she creates clothes which
reflect emotions and appear in aesthetically progressive ideas and
beautifully simple looks

Christiane Milde

her brand and introduces us to
empathy:

Why Organic, Ethical Fashion?
Why not? As a person living in this world I really
don´t know why and how someone cannot care. I just
open my eyes and look at the things that daily happen on this planet. I don´t have to be standing next to
a chemical poisoned cotton field, a child labor fabric,
minimum waged workers and so on to feel the pain and
see that a lot of things go wrong. Empathy doesn´t stop
at my doorstep. That is why for me personally and in
business there is no other way in acting. I pretty much
do everything with the question: How would I feel and
live if I was standing on that side? It is my approach to
do better than what is average right now.
