One hundred and thirty years later Dr. Gary White recognized an opportunity to fill a void,
quality muzzle-loaders that looked like the originals seen in this period not the ones called by
the old names and not even close to what the originals were in appearance.
Hence Green River Rifle Works was born in Roosevelt Utah, starting in Doc’s garage with
its first employee Carl Walker from the same town. Carl then teamed up with his friend
Gardell Powell building these new muzzle-loaders, first for the local trade. But soon the word
got out about these guns that looked like their ancestors at reasonable prices, shortly they
became over loaded with orders.
