Restoration Plan
After 80 years, Roger Williams Inn’s once
beautiful exterior has visibly deteriorated and
its interior needs renovation. Restoration from
roof to basement will create 76 desirable
rooms in a lakeside hotel experience people
are magnetically drawn to once again.
Led by architect Robert Staricka and the
Green Lake staff team, we are working on a
master plan including CAD drawings with full
blueprints. We have no accurate drawings of
the original construction from the 1930s, so this
creates the base from which we build.
While in the midst of the design phase,
we have also been conducting structural
engineering reviews. We were delighted by the
engineering report in late 2013 which showed
that after removing brick to reveal the steel
understructure, the steel remains structurally
sound and we can proceed with masonry
repairs.
