ISES 2022 will boost RE reaching 40 per cent due to more significant RE deployment , with solar peak demand penetration reaching 30 per cent .

“ Specific measures must be implemented to ensure system security , including the rollout of energy storage technologies , and improve system flexibility after 2025 . These measures should enable flexible and dispatchable solar generation ,” he said .
SEDA Malaysia ’ s leadership
SEDA Malaysia was tasked with implementing the National Renewable Energy and Action Plan ( NREPAP ) since 2011 .
The mandated implementation of the FiT mechanism marks a new era in the

THE organisation of ISES 2022 is part of Strategic Thrust 5 of the National Renewable Energy Policy and Action Plan ( NREPAP ), which includes promoting and raising awareness on sustainable energy .
The summit gathers global thought leaders , policymakers , and leaders to discuss the energy transition agenda .
KeTSA Minister Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said : “ The summit is a great platform to discuss sustainable energy ( SE ). It will help accelerate the country ’ s SE agenda and meet the RE installed capacity mix target .”
“ SEDA Malaysia ’ s role is to advocate and promote SE in the industry to the public . With ISES 2022 targeting stakeholders , industry players , youth , and the general public , I am confident the summit could further spread SE awareness in the country .”
ISES 2022 is based on MyRER , which will chart the country ’ s path to a lowcarbon energy system on four technologyspecific pillars . The summit will highlight MyRER pillars and discuss energy ’ s future .
“ Through the summit , we hope to see concerted and coordinated actions from collaborations between various stakeholders ,” he said .
A sustainable energy sector
“ Through the implementation of The Malaysia Renewable Energy Roadmap ( MyRER ), we expect to realise our future RE aspirations and create 46,336 jobs ,” said Datuk Seri Takiyuddin .
He said that developing the sustainable energy industry , especially in the RE sector , will support Malaysia ’ s energy transition agenda and climate change aspirations .
“ I expect the energy transition agenda to dominate the geopolitical and business narratives of the world .”
He shared KeTSA hoped ISES would be the key event for the country ’ s SE industry , accelerating the growth of the RE industry and pushing the nation ’ s 60 per cent carbon emission intensity reduction target by 2035 .
“ This will support the country ’ s aspiration to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 45 per cent to GDP by 2030 based on 2005 emissions intensity . This aligns with the 2015 Paris Agreement and the national goal of Net-Zero Emissions by 2050 .”
