Tahlequah offers indoor , outdoor events for summer

Summer in Tahlequah features green leaves , warm water , plentiful wildlife , tasty food , good music , and many opportunities to get involved .
Those who love outdoor activities can visit a number of public facilities , including Sequoyah City Park , Ross Park , Kaufman Park , Southridge City Park , and the newly opened Tahlequah Tails Dog Park .
In addition to these facilities , Tahlequatics has been open since May 28 , and will be open Wednesday through Sunday of each week until Sept . 5 . Entry is $ 5 per guest for those four years old and up . Daily hours are noon to 9 p . m . with a special $ 3 late night swim pass for those arriving later in the evening .
Those who want to visit the pool more often can purchase pool passes for $ 55 , which is a punch card for 20 entries .
Tahlequatics also offers swimming lessons at $ 45 per swimmer with session one taking place from June 8-10 and 15-17 from 10-10:45 a . m . and 11- 11:45 a . m . Another session is available from June 22-24 and 29 to July 1 with similar times . Parents & Tots classes are from 9-9:45 a . m . during the scheduled sessions . A third and final summer session is scheduled for July .
If interested , patrons can call 918- 525-4731 or visit the facilities at 1046 W . Allen Road during business hours for details .
For more water fun , the local Splash Pad is located on N . Water Ave . and is in operation from 10 a . m . to 8 p . m . daily during the summer . The Splash Pad is user-activated , so even if no one else is there , locals are welcome to utilize the facilities during the hours of operation .
For those who prefer indoor activities as the summer heat increases , there is still plenty to do .
