For my graduation requirement at Western Sydney University, I chose the thesis research topic of rooftop solar energy assessment in residential buildings in Sydney city council. This is an interesting research area due to its potential to make Australia a clean energy country, with zero carbon emissions.
Dr Saad Odeh was my supervisor, who is experienced in working and conducting research on this topic. I had weekly meetings with my supervisor to show the work progress and ask questions if there were any difficulties. He helped me a lot in directing the research path and gave me guidelines to make my work and results suitable for publication.
During my work in this research, I acquired a lot of skills such as data collection, data analyses and results validation. I was very happy and proud, when I knew our work has been accepted for publication in a refereed international journal Energies that has impact factor 3 and citescore 4.7.
