I've also learnt just how much effort is going into offering students flexible learning options; something that is steadily becoming the norm in higher education.
We all hoped that 2021 would bring fresh hope and a new start for our staff and students. But it's going to take time to move past the challenges of the pandemic and I know from my recent virtual roadshows that our educating staff continue to have a good deal on their plates.
Something else that's rightfully gaining traction is diversity, equity and inclusion.

Equity has always been at the core of what we do - we level the playing fields for our students and provide them with access to opportunities that would otherwise not be available to them. Equity is part of our DNA.
As an organisation, we are now developing our understanding of what it means to have an equitable and inclusive culture. Recently, I've seen how our colleges are leading by example, with their understanding of how vital this kind of culture is to a sense of belonging, for staff and students alike.
It is with the understanding that many across the organisation are facing challenges that I extend my heartfelt thanks to all our educators. I hope you enjoy issue 4.
