When we met these three engineering lecturers (appropriately socially distanced, of course), naturally the conversation turned to how and why they had all come to be engineering lecturers at NIC. Each mentioned early childhood passions for getting hands-on experience with technology, wanting to know how things functioned from the inside, and a sense of reward from accompanying first year undergraduate students on their learning journeys.

“I always enjoy observing the satisfaction in young students when they solve a real-world problem. I use project-based learning to enhance their ability to critically analyse the material and draw upon their accumulated knowledge and skills to formulate appropriate solutions to unfamiliar problems,” says Dariusz.
