The Umstead features 150 oversized guest rooms, elegant furnishings and signature amenities. The Umstead welcomes and inspires guests to find comfort and tranquility in the meticulously landscaped property, as well as the plush Umstead Spa and contemporary American cuisine at its signature restaurant, Herons. Meetings The Umstead Hotel and Spa offers 10,200 square feet of indoor meeting and conference space, which is highlighted by the 4,000-square-foot ballroom that overlooks the three-acre lake. The expansive lawn can accommodate wedding ceremonies for up to 150 people. Other amenities and services include naturally lit meeting rooms, concierge service, 24-hour Business Center, on-site audio-visual staff and wireless Internet access in all areas of the hotel.
Accommodations Luxury meets comfort in our 150 spacious guest rooms that range in size from 540 to 1,725 square feet and include 27 suites, each with a 42-inch plasma TV, writing desk, Internet access and a stocked refreshment center. Other room amenities include Italian linens, pillow-top mattresses, DVD and CD player, daily newspaper selection, complimentary Spa access and concierge services. Many of the accommodations offer lake-side views.
The Umstead Spa The Umstead’ s 14,000-square-foot, full-service spa offers 10 treatment rooms, men’ s and ladies relaxation lounges, complete with steam, sauna and whirlpool. Other recreational amenities include preferred tee times at Prestonwood Country Club, seasonal outdoor heated pool, nature trail around our three-acre lake, a fitness studio with a full selection of Cybex weight machines and self-guided art tours.
