Cree Shimmer Wall
Comprised of nearly 80,000 aluminum squares , backlit at night with colorful , energy-saving LED fixtures , the Cree Shimmer Wall represents Raleigh as a “ City of Oaks ” while featuring some of the area ’ s technology , donated by Cree , Inc .

Founded in 1959 , RTP today is the largest continuously operating research park in the nation .
