LETTER FROM THE CHAIRMAN
Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce
LETTER FROM THE CHAIRMAN
Mike Riddle, 2025-2026 Chamber Chairman
It is an honor to serve as Chairman of the Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber is fortunate to have dedicated business leaders, as well as representatives from our schools, medical facilities, utility companies, and other sectors serving on the Board of Directors. These individuals volunteer their time because they are committed to making Enid and the surrounding communities the best possible places to live and raise a family.
Our Chamber staff- Jon, Lori, and KenDale- do an outstanding job managing the Chamber ' s operations. They are deeply committed to the Chamber’ s mission and consistently go above and beyond in their service. I also want to recognize Andie Cremer, who served as Chairman over the past year. Andie’ s love for Enid and its people shines through in her dedication and leadership.
The Chamber of Commerce is a vital resource for local businesses. If you’ re not directly involved, you may not fully realize the extent of the Chamber’ s support and impact. To gain a better understanding of our work, I encourage you to review the Chamber’ s three-year strategic plan- it’ s an extensive plan that reflects the Chamber’ s commitment to growth and success.
Each year, the Chamber organizes or assists with a number of key events, including: The Cherokee Strip Celebration, featuring an impressive parade, The Northwest District Junior Livestock Show, attracting hundreds of participants and more than 2,500 visitors, Enlisted Appreciation Night, honoring Vance Air Force Base enlisted personnel, The Committee of 100, which provides scholarships for area students to attend Northern Oklahoma College and Northwestern Oklahoma State University – Enid and Candy Cane Cash, which promotes holiday shopping in Enid and awards $ 15,000 in cash prizes.
Additionally, the Chamber organizes legislative trips to Oklahoma City and Washington, D. C., to advocate for key issues affecting Enid businesses. Our Chamber Ambassadors conduct ribbon cuttings for new and expanding businesses and provide crucial volunteer support. These are just a few of the many ways your Chamber works on your behalf. Our mission is clear:“ To serve the community through the enhancement of the economic climate and quality of life in Enid and the surrounding area.”
Big things are on the horizon for Enid. The Kaw Lake waterline project is nearing completion, providing our city with a reliable water source unmatched by other communities. The City of Enid is also planning a major youth sports complex, which will attract teams and visitors from across the region, bringing economic benefits to local businesses. Plans are also underway for a new 600-acre industrial park and a new public park and amphitheater at the gateway to downtown— made possible through the generosity of our neighbors at Jiffy Trip and the Williams family.
I am proud to be a part of the Chamber and grateful for the opportunity to serve Enid and the great people who call it home.
