LETTER FROM THE CHAIRMAN
Alex Williams , 2023-2024 Chamber Chairman
It is a pleasure to serve as Chairman of the Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce over the next year . Enid is where my family and our businesses choose to invest . We have some of the greatest supporters , ambassadors , volunteers , business owners , and public servants that our community could ever hope to see .
Our community has a tailwind of momentum that we will continue to build on over the next year . From the ‘ State of the Art ’ Advance Soccer Complex to No Man ’ s Land Beef Jerky , investments are being made to Grow Enid . The Chamber is actively marketing the accomplishments and activities that we are blessed to have in Enid .
Our momentum doesn ’ t stop there . Our education and workforce development are being built through Autry , Northwestern , and NOC . We continue to have a voice in state legislative initiatives through active and accessible representatives and senators . There has been an emphasis made to increase Enid ’ s retail market share as we work towards our Billion by 2025 Plan . The growth on West Garriott , coupled with the Downtown Development has our community on pace to reach that goal .
Our City Commission continues to make investments in the future through the Kaw Lake Water Pipeline as well as investments into our infrastructure . Our relationship with Vance Air Force Base is an emphasis as we continue to support programs for new student pilots , enlisted men and women , as well as the expansion and renovations at Woodring Airport . We are also becoming an energy hub that has seen almost 2 billion dollars invested into Wind and Solar Energy .
We will continue to work hard over the next year to promote Enid as a Business -Friendly Community that is attractive to families and companies . This would not have been possible without your support and participation . Thank you !
