Extended Day Learning
Before and After School Care
Greater Clark County Schools has partnered with Youth LInk Southern Indiana ( formerly Communities in Schools of Clark County ) to provide Extended-Day Learning for GCCS students in grades K-6 . This program provides topquality before and after school childcare in an engaging , enriching , and nurturing environment with homework help and enrichment activities .
This program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children . Enrichment activities , help with homework , tutoring , social skills groups , and themed units are a few of the resources Youth LInk will offer .

Availability :
Elementary schools include : Jonathan Jennings , Franklin Square , Northaven , Parkwood , Pleasant Ridge , Riverside , Thomas Jefferson , Utica and Wilson . Note : New Washington Elementary is afternoons only . Middle schools , for 6th grade students needing care , include ( to be held at elementary school sites ): Charlestown , Parkview , River Valley , New Washington .
Hours of Service :
• Before School : 6:30 a . m . to the start of school day
• After School : End of school day to 6:00 p . m .
