Franklin Square Elementary School ( FSES ) is a state of the art elementary school located in Jeffersonville Indiana . It is a part of the Greater Clark County School Corporation ( GCCSC ) and opened in July of 2020 . This educational academy will house approximately 500 students in prekindergarten through the fifth grade .
The mission of FSES is to prepare students for lifelong success . Our vision is to be the foundation of educational excellence in the heart of downtown Jeffersonville . Both the students and staff will be using a research based educational curriculum along with technology each day . FSES will be working to ensure that all students acquire the skills needed to be lifelong learners . Project Based Learning and STEAM ( Science , Technology , Engineering , the Arts and Mathematics ) will be highlighted as the students are encouraged to embrace their educational experiences in a way that mirrors real life . Students in primary classrooms will use technological devices to their maximum extent while students in grade three through five will have access to 1:1 device . Special area programs shall encompass art , music , physical education , technology , and Library .

Developing a safe and welcoming classroom community while establishing daily routines will encourage positive student / teacher relationships as well . The fostering of excellent character in our students will be reinforced through GCCS ’ s P . R . I . D . E . program ( Persistence , Respectfulness , Initiative , Dependability , and Efficiency ). A partnership with parents and community members will be heavily relied upon as we strive to facilitate the educational advancement of each student .
