The Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce
Board of Directors Chairman
Prosperous and Quality Community
KEY POINTS
When presented with the
opportunity to chat about how the
Greater Cheyenne Chamber of
commerce fulfills its mission of
making Cheyenne a prosperous
and quality community to work,
live and do business, all kinds
of words swarmed through my
head. I then wondered how I
can summarize everything our
business organization does. After
pondering for a bit, it occurred
to me that listing one-word key
points would be a great start.

Taking all these words which
aptly describe our Chamber’s
activities, it is obvious that the
promotion and protection of our
community’s businesses are the
heart and soul of our Chamber as
it is in any community. The crux
is showcasing our community so
it exhibits economic vitality, which
allows our present businesses to
prosper and in turn, encourages
others to choose our community
over another. The healthiest
economies are broad, diverse
and generate well-paying jobs
which, in turn, create a quality
of life and a standard of living
sought by all. Our Chamber
excels in this by being an integral
part of business expansion and
attraction, providing internal
and external entrepreneurial
connections, project innovation,

guidance of our leadership, the
President/CEO and the staff, are
fulfilling the Chamber’s mission
with commitment and passion.
In recognition of the Chamber’s
successes, we must also
acknowledge the advocacy role
for the military presence in our
community. F.E. Warren Air Force
Base, the Army National Guard,
the Air National Guard and the U.S.
Navy are precious commodities.
Through the Military Affairs
Committee, which provides troop
support and education, and through
the Wyoming Wranglers Committee,
which is a politically active advocate
at the Federal Government Level,
our Chamber has had an impact
in preserving and expanding
Cheyenne’s largest employer, the
United States military.
In reflecting on how the Greater
Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce
fulfills its mission of making
Cheyenne a prosperous and
quality community to work, live
and do business, it is obvious
that our Chamber exhibits the
“Six Pillars of Character Counts”
as the business advocate for its
partners- trustworthiness, respect,
responsibility, fairness, caring and
citizenship.
Thank you for being a partner of
the Greater Cheyenne Chamber
of Commerce. Together, we have
a strong business community
and together, we are the Greater
Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce.
