with military members on an
excursion to Camp Guernsey
where they were priveleged to
tour the premier joint training
facility. This exclusive trip gave
an inside look allowing for all
participants to have a clearer
understanding of the work,
dedication and sacrifices made
by the members of our Armed
Forces.
Concluding the celebration of
Military May, the Military Affairs
Committee on efforts with our
Armed Forces to host a Military
Appreciation Celebration Event
held of May 30th, 2015. With
static displays from our Armed
Forces, community members had
the opportunity to mingle with
local military heroes and witness
first hand the vehicles, tools, and
the technology used on a daily
basis to defend and protect our
country and our freedoms. With
help of amazing sponsors, booth
participants and community
donations, MAC was able to
feed over 500 military members
for free within a four hour time
frame.
Although the month of May
has concluded, the work of the
Military Affairs Committee is
never done. From hosting food
drives to gather items needed
for the Airman Food Pantry
to sending care packages to
anyone deployed out of the State
of Wyoming, the Military Affairs
Committee continues to work
to provide troop support while
finding ways to recognize and
honor the men and women in our
Armed Forces.
