Cheyenne Frontier Days Creates New Event
to Promote Local Economy and Attract
New Consumers

he focus of our mission at
Cheyenne Frontier Days for
the past 117 years is to bring
in people from outside of our
community, and with them, tourism
revenue that is then distributed
throughout our community to
provide positive economic stimulus.
Quantitatively, this in-turn, provides
a high quality of life at a lower cost
and reduced pressure for higher
taxes. Qualitatively, CFD is a worldrenowned and recognized brand
for premium entertainment, and
nowhere else does a community
of our size enjoy world-class
professional sporting, musical, and
cultural entertainment in our back
yards.
Through the support of worldrecognized brands such as
Anadarko Petroleum, CINCH,
Swire Coca-Cola, Miller/Coors,
and others to provide sponsorship
capital, CFD is able to introduce
and add a new western-themed
entertainment product to our matrix.
This new product, The CINCH
Rodeo Shootout, has features
unlike any rodeo product in the
marketplace today: all-star talent

from the eight richest rodeos in
the world, best bucking livestock
from an array of professional rodeo
stock contractors, fast-paced and
easily understandable competition
and format, consumer interactivity,
and presents multiple sponsorship
opportunities. This product will
appeal to existing rodeo fans and to
new consumers whom we have yet
to touch and incent to experience
our existing products.
Competition for the entertainment
dollar is as fierce as ever with more
and more options for the consumer
along the Front Range of Colorado
in our key GMA (Geographic
Market Area). The music industry,
specifically the country music
industry, has indicated that the
Front Range is the most competitive
entertainment market in the world.
CFD must manage the brand wisely,
and one key competitive advantage
that is our Celebration/Festival has
numerous entertainment products,
that are all value-priced, and that
are all located in one area that is
easily accessed and experienced
by consumers.
