Our military
Care Packages
Supporting Troops Overseas
By: Crystal Mancera, Director of Development & Growth
Throughout the year, the Military
Affairs Committee works hard
to bridge the gap between our
military and our community.
Through monthly, interactive and
informative luncheons, troop
support and hosting events
honoring our men and women
in uniform, the Military Affairs
Committee continues to unite the
military with the community.
Recently, the Military Affairs
Committee compiled care
packages for our military. These
packages were delivered to the
110 Airmen who were deployed
over the holiday season.
Acknowledging the sacrifices

these men and women make was
not enough. The Military Affairs
Committee decided to show their
gratitude through exciting and
educating the community on the
mission of these 110 Airmen and
then collected in kind donations
made by the community
businesses and organizations.
After boxing up items such as
non-perishable food items,
books, crossword puzzles and
so much more, enough care
packages were created for every
single deployed Airman. Along
with the care packages, Chamber
Members wrote cards thanking
these individuals for their service
and sacrifices made.
Through the time, dedication
and hard work put in by the
Military Affairs Committee, they
managed to ensure the care
packages were received before
the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Each month, the Military Affairs
Committee provides educational
luncheons to the Cheyenne
Committee, honors our service
men and women, as well as
bridges the gap between the
civilians and military. Join this
