We are your “Business
‘Who’ Experts”
By: Robin Mosley, Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce Director of Community Investment
There is an old phrase...“It’s not what you know, but who you
know”. The value of this statement is full force when a business
decides to become a partner of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber
of Commerce.
Throughout my career I have utilized the Greater Cheyenne
Chamber of Commerce and have strengthened my foundation for
how I do business. Through my participation in both BizLinks and
Red Carpets, I have successfully built my business and fortified
my overall professional network. Being a Chamber Partner is
a lifestyle. Over time when engaging in Chamber programming
and efforts, those you meet along the way become your clients
and friends. These connections develop unique relationships and
overtime some move far away but you will still stay in touch and
join them in their new adventures.
time they share information about their business, their expertise
and learn from one another. The main objective of engaging
in a BizLink is to be able to fully know and recommend eachother to others and generate an exceptional referral base in
the community.
Additionally, this particular program of the Greater Cheyenne
Chamber of Commerce is to provide business professionals with
a cross industry family.
Many of them share their personal trials and tribulations. The
outreach and support given from the group is beyond measure.
These close connections create a lifetime of support and the
business alliances developed through Bizlinks are one of the key
advantages to this particular program.
Now I have the privilege of being on the “other side of the
fence” as the Director of Community Investment for the Greater
Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce. I now see firsthand the
time and effort that goes on behind the scenes to truly make
the experience for each Chamber partner a valuable one. All
programs have a mission and each decision is made to move a
business forward in Laramie County. The purpose is to help all
businesses in our area to succeed, grow, and hopefully prosper
in their goals and overcome all challenges. Through these
programs, the Chamber can successfully help businesses create
valuable connections. In other words, you can call the Chamber
of Commerce your “Business ‘Who’ Expert.” The Chamber
translates events and activities into treasured moments and
experiences which assist business professionals in developing
meaningful relationships.
“From the larger events such as the monthly luncheons, awards
banquet, Business After Hours, to the smaller groups, I love
the BizLink group, the Chamber provides many opportunities to
connect with businesses which allow for relationship building.
This can ultimately lead to referrals and increased business and
revenue for everyone involved. I cannot count the number of
times I’ve referred folks to businesses in the Chamber (but it’s
a lot!). I’ve had a chance to do business with several Chamber
members (both in increased business opportunities for Judy
