GET STARTED Leadership Cheyenne is a program of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce that is focused on providing each class member with a new experience and bringing awareness to all of the interworking of your local community. Leadership Cheyenne graduates leave the program more informed and well-rounded professionals. The purpose of Leadership Cheyenne is to educate participants about the community and help them develop a desire and commitment for life-long civic trusteeship. Jeff Stacey is an alum of Leadership Cheyenne and is currently the Chairman of the Leadership Cheyenne Steering Committee. According to Stacey, “Leadership Cheyenne exposes class members to people and places in our community that they may never otherwise experience such as meeting community leaders, elected & public safety officials, and judges; touring behind the scenes at FE Warren AFB, CRMC, CFD, and numerous local businesses and organizations; flying in a Blackhawk helicopter; and learning about what it takes to make our city function on a daily basis.” Each year Leadership Cheyenne Class applications are posted in May and are accepted until June. Each applicant is then asked to attend a reception to meet Leadership Cheyenne Steering Committee members. After the reception the Steering committee will select the upcoming Class who will participate in the program. Each year they accept 25 applicants and narrow the class size to this number to ensure the best possible program experience. To learn more contact Halley Trembath at [email protected].
