competition in Waco this year . This was the first year that BHS has participated and they anticipate taking a larger team next year . Gracey has also won other awards for her photography .
Another goal Gracey had for the tractor project was so that she could earn some money to apply towards her college education . She will be attending East Texas Baptist University in the fall pursuing a degree in Mass Communications so she can pursue her love for public speaking , photography , and all the possibilities that can come from that degree .
Gracey says even though it sounds kind of cheesy , she did this project more as a representation that “ a woman can do mechanics , a woman can show out just as much as a man can , and show everyone that this is achievable .” She says she is happy to be able to represent female AG mechanics and encourages all females to pursue their interest , no matter how hard it seems it might be to accomplish .
