N o matter what season it is, cheering on our local youth in sports is one of our favorite parts of our job at Greater Athens Magazine and the Athens Daily Review.
We love celebrating your wins and we are sad too when the game doesn’ t go your way.
Thankfully, there’ s always another season and another chance to see our teams do their best, winning a few along the way or becoming the new season champs. In this month’ s edition we take a look back and celebrate the top highlights from Henderson County’ s Spring Sports.
In this edition we also honor Benny Rogers as he says‘ goodbye’ to sports writing at Trinity Valley Community College and‘ hello’ to leisure days of retirement; and Sports Editor Rich Flowers takes an in-depth look at the world of Women’ s College softball.
Beyond the pages of Greater Athens Magazine, the Athens Daily Review invites you to follow along with the news of the day throughout our print and digital outlets: the printed edition of the Athens Daily Review and our web home page www. athensreview. com.
Wishing you the best summer season, with lots of community and family fun!
