Cain Center
The newly remodeled Cain Center is the center of activity in Athens for all kinds of sporting events , fundraisers , city meetings , and parties of all sizes . Members of the Cain Center enjoy use of the fitness center , swimming pool , and other amenities .
In October 2021 , the Cain Center reopened its doors with new equipment , technology , staff , and offerings , after years of being closed .
The renovated Multipurpose Hall is equipped with a projector and large screen , cordless microphones , and speakers , and acoustic improvements continue to be made . The Hall is a popular spot for large gatherings , quinceaneras , dances , and galas and enjoys being transformed from a gym to your theme . The Cain Center hosted multiple events of its own in 2022 including a Cinco de Mayo festival , Adult Prom , Juneteenth Celebration , and more .
This gym is also used for pickleball , volleyball , basketball , and other sporting events including leagues created through the Cain Center and also outside organizations renting the venue for sports .
There are Meeting Rooms that also have cordless microphones and speakers as well as television displays . The Civic Hall also has large television displays , microphones , and speakers and also has live streaming capability .
Members of the Cain Center enjoy the up-to-date equipment in the Fitness Center along with the televisions set up in the room that allow for a pleasurable exercise regime . Fitness Classes , like yoga and zumba , as well as aquatic classes , are also available during select times .
The renovated swimming pool not only contains 3 lap lanes for those wishing to exercise , but also a children ’ s area with a splash pad and a lazy river that is not only fun for children , but also beneficial for physical therapy .
Another member perk is the childcare program available during select hours for member ’ s children to be cared for while the member enjoys the Center .
Memberships are available for residents and non-residents and for individuals , couples , seniors , and families . Day rates and corporate memberships are available as well .
