A great Family Day
Though the weather may have been a little
inclement – downright damp at times – Family Day,
Saturday 10 September, was once again a great
opportunity for Scotch boys to show the Scotch
Family just how talented they are, on and off the
athletics track.
Art and design pieces were on display, bands
kept the toes tapping, and Scotch Parents’
Association auxiliaries, the Old Scotch Collegians’
Association and the Scotch Foundation were
all well represented. And there was great food –
scones, burgers, sandwiches, and much more.
Out on the Main Oval, Davidson took out the
House Athletics from Lawson, Field, Morrison,
Selby Smith and Gilray. In the individual events,
Chris Papapetrou (Year 10) won the Scotch Quarter
from Maxwell Martin (Year 12) and Ed Beischer
(Year 11); and Saxon Beale (Year 11) took out the
Scotch Flyer, with Lachlan Bangs (Year 11) second
and Matt Bennett (Year 12) third.
The success of Family Day was due in no
small way to the hard work of Scotch’s academic,
administration and Grounds and Maintenance
staff – it was a great team effort all round.
ABOVE AND RIGHT: BOYS, PARENTS AND STAFF ENJOYED A
SUCCESSFUL FAMILY DAY.
