We were highly competitive in most sports, and had two of our firsts teams go agonisingly close to winning unlikely premierships. The 1st XI Soccer team started with a 2-2 draw against Carey Grammar School and then proceeded to win the next seven games. The boys played inspired football for most of the season, and combined a strong 50 Great Scot Number 157 – September 2019 attacking game with a tight defence. We scored a total of 33 goals for the APS season, which included hat-tricks to Captain Josh Allen (Year 12) on two occasions and also to Hamish McRae (Year 12) and Luke Clifford (Year 11). The final game of the soccer season will be talked about for years. Scotch led 3-0 against Caulfield Grammar, and on the verge
