Scotch’s senior string orchestra, Academy Strings, had the
opportunity to work with PLC’s counterpart during the Senior Strings
Workshop, held on 22 March. We were lucky enough to use the
modern facilities of PLC’s brand-new performing arts centre, and
in conjunction with girls from the Tokyo College of Music, the three
groups rehearsed and performed two pieces – the first movement
from Grieg’s Holberg Suite as well as Hoedown from Copland’s
