OSCA Cardinal Club 14 March 2018 Cardinal Club cocktails Andrew Jelbart’s (‘11) contribution to rowing There was a strong turnout of Scotch crews from past decades at the Don Macmillan Head of the River Cocktails, held in the Boykett Room, Cardinal Pavilion, on 14 March. At the cocktail party, Andrew Jelbart (’11) was recognised for his tireless work for the Cardinal Club over many years, with a boat named in his honour. The Jelbart family has been at the heart and soul of Scotch rowing for many years, and continue to contribute meaningfully to the School’s program. Guest speaker, Angus Emmett (’17), Captain of Rowing, entertained guests with his insightful comments on last year’s Head of the River success, and the crew’s magnificent win in the Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup for school eights at the 2017 Henley Royal Regatta. Scotch was the first Australian school since 2001 to win this event. 88 Great Scot Number 154 – September 2018
