OSCA NEW OSCA HONORARY LIFE MEMBERS GRAEME MCRAE (’54 – SECOND FROM LEFT) AND GEOFF MCCRACKEN (’65 – SECOND FROM RIGHT), WITH INCOMING OSCA PRESIDENT, JAMES DOUGLAS (’84 – LEFT) AND OUTGOING OSCA PRESIDENT ANDREW CRAWFORD (’89 –RIGHT) TWO OLD BOYS RECEIVE OSCA HONORARY LIFE MEMBERSHIP Late in 2018 OSCA welcomed its 46th and 47th Honorary Life Members at a highly enjoyable OSCA Presidents’ Dinner, held on 21 November in the Boykett Room, Cardinal Pavilion after the conclusion of the 2018 OSCA annual general meeting. Honorary Life Membership — OSCA’s highest award — recognises outstanding service to the Association, which is certainly exemplified in the latest inductees, Graeme McRae (‘54) and Geoff McCracken (‘65). 68 Also at the Presidents’ Dinner, four devoted club members received OSCA Merit Awards in recognition of their dedicated service. 2018 OSCA Honorary Life Members Graeme Alan McRae (’54) attended Scotch from 1949 to 1954. He was a member of the Athletics team in his final year of 1954. Graeme was a member of OSCA Council from 2009 to 2015, and was OSCA President in Great Scot Number 156 – April 2019 Graeme McRae (’54) and Geoff McCracken (’65) recognised for great service to OSCA 2012, in which he meticulously led preparations for the OSCA centenary celebrations in 2013, notably the organisation of major events, including the OSCA Centenary Annual Dinner in May and the Scotch Family Gala Event in October. Prior to becoming OSCA President, Graeme had served as OSCA Treasurer from the time of his election to Council in 2009, and he resumed as Treasurer after the completion of his presidential term, until he left Council in late 2015. He provided great support to Scott Montgomery during Scott’s early days as OSCA Executive Director. He also helped to shape OSCA Council’s working arrangements and policy framework. Graeme is a former member of the Old Scotch Athletics Club. He is a founding committee member of the Old Scotch Symphony Orchestra, and right from the club’s launch in
